Wow, I just purchased a new server from liquidweb because I was using a provider in california who had literally no phone support, barely responded to tickets and email, and their network went down for an hour and a half with no explanation. Now I wonder if I should have made the move to LW?

An eternity for any serious hosting company im also going with dns failover now so at least can degrade nicely from now so at.

I am very sorry that your website was down. Michigan had severe high winds. This caused a tree to fall on a Level3 fiber connection in Jackson, Michigan. While our connections were re-routed to Chicago, Saginaw and other areas around our fiber ring, some of our customers received longer than average wait times. For some customers, you included it appears, this took up to 3 hours to resolve completely.
