For hosting other people’s websites, you should look into leasing a server, or even a virtual server, from company that already has all the infrastructure. Examples:
The webserver can track traffic on a site-by-site basis (there are tools to support this). On a LAMP server, it is easy to set disk space quotas on users when you set them up.
